Coastal Hire Durban North – Mechanic Vacancy

Coastal Hire Durban North is looking for an energetic, loyal, and responsible Mechanic. The position requires the following but is not limited to:

Requirements: 

  • Valid B code driver’s license
  • Mechanical experience + 4 years with small plant (construction) equipment.
  • Speak Fluent English/ Afrikaans
  • Preferably reside in Durban, KwaMashu, Inanda, and the surrounding area.
  • An energetic Individual
  • Must do deliveries and collection when required.
  • Able to do breakdowns
  • Analytical and able to diagnose problems, so that the machine is fully repaired when you are finished.
  • Knowledgeable and efficient as productivity is closely managed. Applicants will be tested on Rammers, Electric Breakers, and Plate Compactors mainly
  • Knowledge of these machines, Portable generators Honda engines, GX100, GX160, GX240 & GX390 Engines, Drive units, Poker needles, Power floats, Compressors and Jackhammers, Electric Breakers
  • Must be able to work overtime when required.
  • Having worked in a lawnmower or plant hire company will be an advantage (Traceable References essential)
